Project Title
Connecting Agriculture Transition to Social Issues: Analyzing Pakistan form 1947 to 1990
Description
The main objective of my thesis research is to analyze the historical development of the agriculture sector in Pakistan with regard to growth, income inequality and rural poverty, and study its implications on the social and economic development of communities. Using the time series analysis, my research explores and argues the connections that capitalist development and state intervention contribute to the development of agriculture. The analysis identifies that mechanization along with biased policies is one of the major implications as a result of capitalist development.
